Journal of Cell Biology was established to support the independent publishing model as developed by Unified Scholars and Publishers. Its aim is to publish research that was independently reviewed on the Unified Scholars Platform.
Independent review in Cell Biology allows for the submission and evaluation of manuscripts in cell biology. The word 'independent' emphasizes a new publishing model in which manuscripts are submitted to a "digitized field" where other experts would review it. The review process (in the digitized field) is overseen by coordinating editors, and is exactly the same as traditional peer review, save for few adjustments to enhance fairness, transparency and equity.
This Journal of Cell Biology is an offspring of the new model, and its aim is to ensure that independently reviewed research are adequately published, promoted and indexed. Its audience is rapidly growing, and includes academics and subject experts, researchers, industry leaders, policy experts, institutions, organizations, etc.
The journal welcomes original, innovative and high quality research in all aspects of cell biology. The scope is as broad as the field itself. Hence, research in all areas of cell biology is welcome. Review papers, case studies, short communications, etc., of sufficient quality are also welcome for evaluation and subsequent publication. The coordinating editors guarantee a satisfactory experience within this new model.
The accepted papers from this process would be published in the Unified Publishers Journal of Cell Biology. The journal is published electronically and in print, and fully open access, with no restrictions whatsoever. It would also be indexed in all relevant databases. Finally, this journal is our flagship journal which pioneers the independent model of scholarly publishing and we welcome you to take back your 'independence'.
